Since a child’s first years are a critical time for learning, we recommend starting your child’s
music education as early as possible. Our youngest students (and their grownups!), can
register for the internationally recognized early childhood music program, Music Together®
at MUSICLAND.
In each weekly class, an expert teacher leads a group of parents/caregivers and their babies,
toddlers, and preschoolers in 45 minutes of singing, dancing, and jamming. Children are free
to move, explore, experiment, and respond in their unique ways, and grownups learn lots of
musical ways to play with their little ones, in class and at home. You’ll bond with your child in
a new way, and connect with other new parents from your neighborhood as you share silly
dance move and lyric ideas and witness special moments of musical discovery.
Besides being loads of fun for everyone, our Music Together students acquire the
foundational skills and disposition needed for success in music lessons: the ability to sing in
tune, move in rhythm, and love music!
Music Together® Music and Materials
The Music Together song collections include a mix of original songs and traditional tunes
from a range of musical styles, including folk, blues, jazz, and world music, in a variety of
tonalities, and meters that support children’s music development. The sophisticated
arrangements and catchy tunes mean that you just might find yourself singing them even
when your kids aren't around!
Every semester you enroll in a Music Together class, you will receive an illustrated songbook
that brings each song to life, along with a code for digital access to the recording and an
optional CD, all so you can continue the musical fun at home. With twelve song collections
rotated over three years, your family will build a robust, varied repertoire of beloved songs.

What Is Rhythm Kids®?
Rhythm Kids® is an immersive, experiential music education program for children four through seven years old. Students complete primary music development, attaining Basic Music Competence, and enter what might be called “secondary music development.” In this stage, children develop Applied Music Competence*—through drumming, movement, and singing—and begin their journey to basic/functional music literacy.
